OverviewOrbis Landscape Architecture is the practice of Nathan Lahy and Airiel Barrientos. It is also a shining example of a more traditional craft-led effort that embraces the new age ideals of collaboration and emotionally intelligent work.
Visual IdentityIt was an honor to give the brand some small but meaningful refinements before approaching a full site overhaul. A bolder type pairs nicely with hand-drawn silhouette of the sassafras leaf (note - you will see Nathan’s handwriting and architectural drawings throughout the brand and site’s design), We expanded the color scheme to bring in the warmth and terrestrial tools Airiel creates with on each project.
Digital ExperienceLandscape architecture lives in the tension between the two things Orbis needed the site to hold: the sweep of a finished project and the precision of everything it took to get there. Built purely around big, aspirational photography while borrowing logic from the field notebooks that shape the work itself: organized, annotated, exacting.
Project pages needed room to celebrate outcomes at full scale while still surfacing the site plans, material studies, and process details that make the work special.
