Project Overview

The Pink Dinghy crew was looking for a change. They wanted to shed Pink. Not the paint on their walls but what word and what it meant for their visual identity. There was already some incredible work done by a host of great designers – Jared Beck & Tim Skirven to name two – so the task was not to invalidate what had been done. Rather, a build that came with a host of new tools and illustrations.

I started with a new mark and brand font, recreating a simplified building fo the restaurant. And revitalizing some initial language Stephanie, the owner, had used when The Dinghy opened its doors for the first time. Then working with illustrator, Maria Salova, we crafted 4 unique menus, brunch, donuts, cocktails, dinner , and desert. All in the new brand aeshetic. All celebrating new changes to our favorite local spot.
