Welcome to The Tower Brave Adventurer
Book, Editorial + Merch Design – 2025
The Tower started as a collection of excess writings from a homebrew DnD campaign. I turned that into a one-hour session with a few coworkers. It got me thinking, could a zine–the perfect “pick up for an hour, then never again” medium–deliver a DnD experience? Using Google Docs’ nifty jump nav for headers, I stepped out a 60ish-page story with 6 endings. I brought this first draft to my creative partner in Speedway, Jared, and he offered to illustrate it. That’s when the fun really began.
As the book came together, we began discussing a release event with our friends at Equinox Coffee. They brought their creative partners, The Perfect Play, in, and the release event started to come together. The shop dreamed up a custom menu, featuring a honey mead latte and a blueberry lemonade, while we brought hand-printed tees, totes, and posters to go with book sales.
