William & Mary

One small step for PD, one large leap for teachers.

The College of William & Mary isn't just the first university established in the United States; it is also a public research facility centered around U.S. history and the science of teaching it. One particular innovation lab within the school built a product that turns professional development for educators on its head. What if it's not just about picking up new skills but applying teaching pedagogy to every new skill and reflecting on the process?

Now that's a leap forward. We were tapped to build the brand from the ground up—name, colors, voice, tone, systems, and internal language. From there, we carried our identity into a site launch and campaign focused on areas with the highest numbers of teachers underfunded and undersupported by their administrations. Because LilyPD is free for teachers. And leaps and bounds better than the competition.
