Norfolk Botanical Gardens
The Garden of Tomorrow
Norfolk Botanical Gardens is more than a local treasure for this coastal town of Virginia, it is an internationally-ranked garden. Powered by 100% renewable energy, run by unionized gardeners + scientists, and now the home of some of the world's rarest plants - NBG is a destination on any plant lovers bucket list.
We were tapped to build a new signage system to help with the 2026 Garden of tomorrow. A custom flexible interactive signage framework that empowered visitors to identify plants, learn about their impact, and even join the conservation causes. But it didn't end there. We also built an interactive donor celebration screen and a "visitor bento" box that was placed around the grounds to improve walk path flow and answer common questions.
